Peacefully at Miramichi Lodge with family by her side in her 96th year.
Sally Simpson (nee Shea) beloved wife of the late Alan Simpson and cherished mother of Douglas, Kitchener Jennifer Southward (Ken) Vineland Mark Simpson (Cindy), Pembroke James Simpson (Karen) Thomas Simpson, both of Ottawa and Matthew Simpson, Pembroke. Predeceased by her son John and daughters Rita and Mary Jane. Loving Nanny to Kelsey, Alana, Caitlin, Briana, Scott, Kate, Jansen, Jaime and Stefanie. Predeceased by her beautiful granddaughter Sadie. Greatest Great Nanny to Amelia Jane, Austin, Kingsley, Jordan and Rory. Sally was the daughter of the late Francis (Frank) and Loretta Shea, Pembroke and was the last remaining sibling of her family. Predeceased by Patrick Shea (Joan), Kitchener, Thomas Shea (Peggy), Bowmanville Sister Kathleen Shea, London, Mary (Maisie) Shea, Sudbury and Rita Woollam (Ted), Pembroke. Friends are invited to share their memories of Sally with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME on Thursday March 5th 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m.Friday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 6th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke. Interment in St. Columba’s Cemetery. In memory of Sally, donations to Miramichi Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated. We wish to extend a sincere thanks to the staff and residents of Miramichi Lodge for all the kindness and care shown to our mother over the past two years.
