Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the loving family of the late Cecilia (Tela) Ann Dollard announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday January 19th, 2020 at the age of 75 years. Tela leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Angela (Theodore Bennett) in St. Georges, two wonderful sons Shantz Hallman (Laurie) in Nova Scotia and Jason Hallman (Marie-Claude) in Ontario, seven amazing grandchildren: Owen (April), Shantz (Melanie), Gavin, Jamie-Lynn, Raygan, Eva and a grandbaby arriving in August 2020. Two very precious great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Riley. Three sisters who were her best friends: Marie (Ben Cooper) in Corner Brook, Patsy Linthorne in St. Georges and Sue (Ed Hickey) in St. John’s, sisters-in-law Kay Dollard in Stephenville Crossing and Rosa Dollard in Stephenville along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tela was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mercedes Dollard, her partner Bob Clouter, her infant sister Myra, her brothers; Neil, Joe and Jim, her sister-in-law Marina and her brother-in-law Calvin Linthorne. The family will be receiving friends at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday January 22nd, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Thursday January 23rd, 2020 at 10 am from St. Joseph’s Parish in St. Georges with inurnment to take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital who are “our angels on earth” with special mention of Dr. Dwyer, Dr. Bruff and nurse practitioner Millie Byrne and many exceptional nurses who tended to moms every need; Father Kris and Father Dantes.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Bayview Academy School Breakfast Program in St. George’s where her darlings Jaxon and Riley attend school.
Mom loved everyone… “to the moon and back”
