It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Caterina Mocci at 78 years of age. Cathy’s passion for life was contagious. She lived life to the fullest, maintaining dignity and positivity without letting obstacles get in her way. Cathy’s battles with cancer made her a fighter and gave her the will and determination to live. Her strength and courage have been an inspiration for many, and she will forever be our personal hero. Cathy was an amazing cook and instructed cooking and calligraphy classes. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a great love for art, travel and golf. She was committed to helping others and was active in her community, volunteering at her grandchildren’s schools and Transition to Betterness. Her sacrifices she has made for her family will never be forgotten. Cathy will be missed by her daughters, Lisa and Mark Pinsonneault and Maria and Philip Baillargeon, and her four grandchildren Ashley, Stephanie, Lauren and Sofia. Reunited with her parents Rosa and Serafino Marra, sister Sarah and Sam Prantera and brother Joe and Patti Marra. Dear sister to Pat, Tony and sister-in-law Denise Marra and many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Nurse Anthony for going above and beyond with our mom every day. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor & Es County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A private ceremony will take place with immediate family. Arrangements entrusted to Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
