It is with sadness that we share the passing of Carolyn, beloved wife of Richard (Dick). Proud mother of Cori and Rick, and loving mémé of Sydney, Evelynne and Magnus.
Carolyn grew up in the Riverside area of Windsor as part of the ‘Frank Avenue Gang’. Born the middle child of 9, to the late Ersell and Gertrude Sharron, Carolyn is the loving sister of the late Barbara Dufour (late Ed), the late Earl (Elaine), the late Earline Eastham (late Larry), the late Ted (Pat), Steve (Laurie), Mary Beth Smitherman (late Neil), Pete (late Judy), LuAnne Hurlbert (Fred). Daughter in law of the late Alfred and Ida Marchand, and sister in law of Helen Kirkpatrick, Sue and Gerry Oltean, and the late Marie and Ron Kosluk.
Carolyn, an elementary school teacher with Windsor Separate School Board, retired in 1998, after an amazing 30 year career. She was beloved by all of the students and coworkers whose lives she touched, and is referred to by many as their favourite teacher.
Gone but never forgotten is her infectious laugh and wild sense of humour. Carolyn was one of the good ones!
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Huron Lodge for their compassion and care, and to Rose Russell from the Alzheimer’s Society for her support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
