Obituary of Carol Anne Woodworth
WOODWORTH, Carol Anne -age 63, of Enfield, passed away suddenly and peacefully in QEII – Halifax Infirmary Site, Halifax, on September 21, 2020. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Annie (Marten) Woodworth of Milford.
Carol was a long-time employee of Corridor Community Options for Adults – CCOA – (formerly Endale Industries) for 38 years. She was a faithful member of Milford-Lantz United Church. Carol loved spending time at White Point Beach whenever she could and generally loved to travel. She enjoyed knitting and crafting. Carol was incredibly social and maintained daily phone contact with her many friends.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Sharon Whiteway; Frank Woodworth (Jenny Lynn); niece, Melisa Whiteway; great nephew, William, with whom Carol was particularly close; and her beloved fur baby, Ming.
She was predeceased by her parents, and many aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm Monday, October 5th, 2020 in Milford Lantz United Church, Rev. Gerry Kerr and Lori Crocker, DM officiating. Covid19 restrictions will be in place and masks will be required. Seating in the church will be limited. Private interment to follow.
Donations in memory of Carol may be made to Milford-Lantz United Church, CCOA, VON, or East Hants Community Learning/Community Rider.
While Carol lived with our mum for many years, we want to thank the VON, CCOA, East Hants Community Learning and Community Rider for making it possible for Carol to live independently in a home of her choosing.
