Porter, Carol Ann – 75, Springhill. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Porter from Springhill, who was born on January 30, 1945, with her loving family by her side at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst on October 2, 2020. Carol was a loving wife of 60 years to Richard «Dick»; a wonderful mom to her daughters, Cathy (Mont) King, Kim and Susan Porter; proud of her grandchildren, Nicholas (Leigh), Jessica (Terry), Dylan, Ryley; and great-grandchildren, Roman, Liam, Lincoln; sister, Linda (Alan); brothers, Carson and Laurie (Margaret); many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Art, Gerry, Hollie and Tom. Carol was devoted to her family, had a love for darts, reading, family dinners, cottage in Two Islands and her tea. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre and especially her favourite nurse, Amanda. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 6 from 1-3 p.m., followed immediately by funeral service at 3 p.m., all in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-447-2930).
