Calvin John Bender of Listowel, passed away at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, on Friday, December 18, 2020, in his 81st year.
Father of Debbie and Ken Beirnes of Atwood, and Bev Hiltz, and Steve and Grace Bender, all of Listowel.
Grandfather of Shaun & Mallory Beirnes of Thorndale, Craig & Jennifer Beirnes of Atwood, and Mitchell Hiltz, Matthew Hiltz, Sommer Bender, and Marissa Bender, all of Listowel.
Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Tilford and Mabel (Hehn) Bender, his sister Joyce Steenson, and her husband Erlin Steenson.
Calvin farmed for many years in Wallace Township before retiring from Spinrite after 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his cousins’ gatherings, and listening to country music.
A private family service will be held with interment in Zion United Church Cemetery, Wallace Township in the spring.
Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
