Obituary of Brian Eugene Everett
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Brian Eugene Everett announces his passing at the age of 68 years. He passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Brian was surrounded by loving family.
Born in Annapolis Royal on February 18, 1952. Brian was the oldest son of the late Eugene and Ida Everett. He was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor and friend to all. Brian left school at a young age to begin a lifetime of hard work. A jack of all trades, he began in the fishing industry. While his children were young, Brian was an entrepreneur with his own mechanic shop at their family home in Greenland. He was a well-respected long-haul truck driver for 28 years before joining Bernard Vac in Alberta. At that time brothers Curt, Rickey, Perry, and nephews Tony, Kevin and Allyson all worked alongside Brian hoping to learn from the best. Again, respected and admired by all staff and still referred to by most as “Uncle Brian”. After returning to his home in Nova Scotia, he went on to enjoy a career with a Robbie Bent Excavating, nothing that he loved working alongside Robbie and David Bent.
Brian has left behind children, David Everett, Pamela (Kenny) White and Angela (Leaman) Chute; sisters, Brenda (Brian) and Patricia (Wade); brothers, Curt (Gail), Rickey (Kim), Perry (Keri) and Eugene (Audra). There are 6 grandchildren left with beautiful memories of their Grampy: Dianna Rose, Aaron, Ashley, Tiffany, Sarah and Dustin.
Thanks you to everyone for the kindness shown to Brian during his battle. Special thanks to VON, Red Cross Society, Doctors Wilke, Merriweather and Bonnington. Thanks to nephew Tony and many others for the care you provided for Brian at home and to Malcolm Francis for your undying friendship. To the Paramedics John and Emily – your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Cross Society so Brian’s kind nature can live on.
In light of the recent COVID-19 outbreak the family will be holding a private service on April 6, 2020 at Victoria Beach.
