Brian Peter Snair
1959-2020
May 14 1959 – November 14 2020
Snair, Brian Peter, 61, Truro, passed away Saturday, November
14, 2020, surrounded by his family after a short illness at the QEII
Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary. A long-time
resident of Springhill, he later relocated to Truro, NS where his
trade as a skilled carpenter lead to him taking a position as the
Manager of Maintenance at the Inn on Prince. He worked there for many
years, building strong ties with his fellow workers. Brian came from a
large family, and was the last surviving sibling.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his
Mother, Bessie (Antigonish), his son and light of his life Richard
(Megan), his stepchildren, Daniel and Jillian. His cherished
grandbabies, Vaeh and Ayla; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles.
He also remained close and cherished friends with his previous wife
and mother of his children Bertha Harrison. They often all gathered
together for holidays and events and the family shared many laughs,
jokes (and arguments). Brian had innumerable friends who he loved to
laugh and share a beer with.
Brian had many people waiting to welcome him from this life
to the next. His father Gordon, brothers , Wayne, Frank, Paul, Mike,
Shane, and Danny; sister Mary and her husband Bill, who Brian was very
close to.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words
and thoughts. A special thanks to Brian’s coworkers and close friends
that came together to help so much during Brian’s short illness. Our
gratitude also to the amazing staff at the QEII, CVICU. Anyone wishing
to make a donation in Brian’s memory we ask to consider the
GOVRC (Golden Opportunities Vocational Rehabilitation Centre)
a cause dear to Brian’s heart. The family is currently in
the process of planning a celebration of life to happen at a
later date
“Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but in
thankfulness that he was.”
