Obituary
Brian was born 1932 in Liverpool England to May (MacKenzie) & Edward P Murphy. He passed away peacefully with his girls at his side and Pam waiting for him on May 9, 2020.
He is predeceased by his wife, Pamela and their grandson, Daniel Volk.
He is survived by his daughters: Anne (Gord Crozier), Susan (Alana Crozier), Sheila (Theran Volk), and Janet (Terry Jean); grandchildren: Meagan (Garnett) & Samantha, Kyle (Patsy), and Abby; great-grandchildren Austin, Ryder, Bryson & Luciana.
He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and in 1959 married Pamela Foggo. They lived in Chateauguay, Quebec where he was very active in parish council at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church; and worked at Robin Hood Flour. In 1978, the family moved to Saskatoon where he worked until retirement with Potash Corp. of Sask. He was an active member of the Lions Club, and several church parishes, most recently at St. Joseph’s Parish with a special interest in the Social Justice Committee.
These last few years he and Pam resided at St. Ann’s Home where he lovingly dedicated his life to her care. He remained a constant active and loving presence in his family, enjoying it’s growth as he and Pam welcomed four great-grandchildren. Dad had a love of service for others; this led to his leadership in the development of an English-speaking parish in our hometown, years of involvement in the Lions Club and St. Joseph’s Social Justice Committee. His deep love of learning & books have influenced all of us. His deep Christian acceptance of trial and joy, and love of family above all shaped his life and ours. He was our first teacher, forever advocate and best example of love.
Thank you very much for the assistance and support of Dr. Campbell and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, North Battleford, which allowed him to pass peacefully at home.
