Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Beatrice Elizabeth Lee (James), died Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 at Jessica’s House Hospice, Exeter. Beatrice was born February 28th, 1936 in Wardsville. Loving and devoted wife of George Lee for 63 wonderful years. Dear mother of Ron (Bev) Lee, Brenda (Eric) Bullock, Wendy (Gerald) De Boer, Rick (Jean) Lee. Proud grandma of Ryan (Meghan), Nicole, Jeff (Kelsey), Nathan, Melanie, Melissa, Meghan, Samantha, Brett, and Emma. Great-grandma of Hayden, Hannah, Sawyer, Liam, and Cole. Beatrice is predeceased by her infant grandchild Lyell, brothers Fred and Bill James, sisters Freida Stewart and Violet Gecas, sister-in-law Beth Marjama. Beatrice is survived by her brother-in-law Murray Lee and sister-in-law Phyllis Tomes. Beatrice will be remembered for her love of baking for her friends and family and her endless talent for knitting, crocheting and sewing among her many other special traits. Beatrice was always an active member of the community and participated in 4H for over 30 years as a club leader. Beatrice will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, many friends and neighbours.
Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Sunday, October 18th, 2020. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th, 2020 at the funeral home. The interment will take place at Carlisle Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital, London or Jessica’s Residential Hospice, Exeter.
