Neddo, Basil Allan – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father Basil on October 11th, 2020. He is predeceased by his mother Irene and his father Willis and three siblings.
Basil was born in April 1943 and married to Judy Paquette for 55 years. Basil worked as a taxi driver, worked in the mines, truck driver for the town of Haileybury and for James Lathem Excavating. He was a hard worker, neighbourly, great provider for his family and a talented handyman. He had a great sense of humour and took pride in his appearance. Basil was an avid baseball fan and loved the Toronto Blue Jays.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters Rosanne (Pierre-Jean), Kathleen (Michel) and Angela (Jason); his six grandchildren who referred to him as Papa Basil; Samantha (Krzysztof), Matthew, Stéphanie (Eric), Jeff (DeAnne), Jaslyn, and Brendan; his three great grandchildren Brielle, Kasia and Arkadiusz and his long time best friend Sid.
