MCWHINNIE, Barbara Ann – Barbara passed away in Morrisburg on September 01st, 2020 at the age of 72. Beloved Wife of 50 years to Ralph McWhinnie, cherished Mother of Sean, much loved Mother-in law to Jodi and proud Gramma of Mason. She will be sadly missed by her very special Nieces Stephanie Hendricks and Karen Glen and Sister-in-law and dear friend Vanna. Barbara was born and raised in Roslin, Ontario, the only child of William and Gertrude Johnson. She went on to positively impact the lives of hundreds of children in her 40 + years as a Teacher with the Ottawa board. Throughout her 72 years she always showed an incredible zest for life and great compassion for humankind. Above all, Barbara was a loving and dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. In keeping with her wishes, there will be a small and private burial at St. Andrews next week to be followed by a celebration of her life in the Spring, which will be announced at a future date.
