Barbara Ann Chase
1946-2020
Barbara A. Chase of Hawkins Corner, NB passed away peacefully at home
with her family by her side on May 18, 2020. She was born on April 4,
1946 at Nortondale, NB, a daughter of the late William and Ruth
(Buxton) Grant.
Barbara married the love of her life, Wayne Chase on November 4, 1961
and they were married for 59 years. She enjoyed going for drives with
Wayne and Minnie, snowmobiling, camping with family and friends,
dancing and music. She was a devoted mother and drove school bus for
20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Chase; her children, Carla
Brewer (Alvin), Tony Chase and Mark Chase (Normagene); five
grandchildren, Megan Brewer, Jenna Brewer, Lucas Brewer (Christina),
Mark Chase (Nicky Morehouse) and Jeremy Chase; great grandchildren,
Madison, Zackery and Alexa Brewer, Gavin Morehouse, Zander, Bella and
Gracie Chase, Zoey Chase and Macy Connor; her siblings, Donna Gagnon
(André), Thelma Bourne (Wayne), Wayne Grant (Monique), Chester
Grant (Rhonda), Allen Grant, Eldon Grant (Alice), Darryl Grant and
David Grant (Sandy); her mother-in-law, Dorothy Chase; a
sister-in-law, Connie Pond (Carmen); brothers-in-law, Haldon Chase
(Sharon), Glendon Chase (Judy) and Kevin Chase; several cousins,
nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Charles
Chase; a sister, Carol Grant and her father-in-law, Charles Chase.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at
Nortondale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Lucas Brewer, Megan Brewer and
Jenna Brewer, her brother, Allen Grant and brothers-in-law, Kevin
Chase and André Gagnon.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Barbara, the family
has suggested a charity of the donor’s choice.
