Audrey Josephine Parker-Ayer
1931-2020
Audrey
Josephine Parker-Ayer, 89, of Stoney Creek went to be with her Lord
and Saviour on October 29th, 2020. She passed away
peacefully at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her
side.
Audrey was born in Hopewell Hill on September 12, 1931 the
daughter of the late Archie and Eva (Prosser) Steeves.
Audrey worked as an RNA for 13 years and worked at the T.
Eaton Company for 28 years. Her faith was very
important to her and she was a faithful member of the Hillsborough
Baptist Church. She had a servant’s heart, diligently doing
good work. She was President of the Women’s Missionary
Society, taught Sunday School and served as
Superintendent for many years, as well as singing in the
Silver Chords Choir. Audrey had a glow about her and her
bubbly personality shone through in everything she did.
Audrey enjoyed knitting, sewing and quilting, making
numerous mittens, hats and beautiful homemade quilts for all
her family and friends. Audrey was young in spirit and was
always up for an adventure. She raised her family with Godly
values and was a role model to them on how to put God first in your
life. She loved her Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and
strength. She was known for her hospitality within
her community and her door was always open. Even when life
was difficult, she would strive to be grateful and count her blessings
in every situation.
Her family was her main priority in life and she
loved them all very much. Whenever you talked to Audrey, she
would fill you in on all of her family’s accomplishments and how they
all were doing. She was proud of each and everyone of them.
When her great-grandchildren came along, they made her heart
full. She believed that faith makes all things possible,
love makes all things easy, hope makes all things work, and
family makes life worth living. She will be
remembered for her kindness, her sweet smile and she left a great
legacy of love.
Although you are in Heaven now, you’re not that far away, our
hearts are full of memories and you’re with us everyday. Until we meet
again.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Carolyn
Steeves (Donn) of Elgin, Judi Parker of Stoney Creek; sons, Russell
Parker of Lower Coverdale, Paul Parker (Barb) of Stoney Creek and Tim
Parker (Jennie) of Weldon; step-children, Miriam McArdle of Moncton,
Christina Presley (Guy)of Sus, and Chesley Ayer (Peggy) of Edgett’s
Landing; her treasured 11 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 17
precious great grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, all her extended
family and by her many friends. She was
the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband,
Francis Parker and second husband, Bill Ayer;
daughters-in-law, Brenda Parker and Nancy Parker; sisters, Florence
MacEachern, Beulah Jollymore and Evelyn Thompson; brothers, Clarence,
Raymond, Nelson, Gilbert and Lloyd Steeves.
The funeral service will be held at the Hillsborough Baptist

officiating. The service will be live
