Obituary of Arlene Mary Streng
June 25, 1947 – January 7, 2020
We lost our little sister Arlene after a valiant battle against Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer.
Arlene was born in Chilliwack Hospital and grew up in the Fraser Valley until age 16. She attended Upper Sumas Elementary School and Abbotsford Senior Highschool. She moved to Vancouver at age 16 and graduated from Sir Charles Tupper High School. Her happiest years were those with her new Vancouver friends. Arlene enjoyed her career with the telephone company until retirement at 55.
Predeceased by parents Ernest and Gladys Perry; son, David Streng; and niece Linda Rose Schmid.
Survived by siblings, Fred Perry (Esther), Edna Schmid (nee Perry), Norman Perry (Marjory), Gordon Perry (Barbara), and dear nieces and nephews.
Interment at Forest Lawn beside her son Brian, and her parents. Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #88 with friends and family on January 20, 2020 at 3:00pm where we will gather to remember her life and happy years.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Arlene
