Annabel Gaston
Annabel Alexandra Woodrow was born October 25th, 1937 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. She was the youngest child in the family, having five older brothers and one sister. In December of 1959 Anna married a young farmer called John Gaston, also from County Antrim. Together they farmed and raised their four children, Lesley, Desmond, Ellis and Julie. Over the years the family has grown to include 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with another little one due later this year.
In 1974 John and Anna left Northern Ireland and moved the family to Scotland, purchasing a dairy farm in Ayrshire. Several years later they moved south to a dairy farm in Wigtownshire and then to a beef and sheep farm on the east side of Scotland, close to the border with England. In 2003, they, along with Desmond and his family immigrated to Canada. This was a big move for the family. Anna, as always, adapted to her new surroundings and enjoyed making new friends.
Anna was gifted with a wonderful musical talent. She loved playing the piano and organ and taught many pupils. Lately she played for the Church services here in Brunkild.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, here in Canada and in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Annabel Gaston 2020..
