Kelly, Andrew Joseph, age 72, Little River Harbour. It is with sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Andrew Kelly on December 24,2020. Andy moved from Scotland to Toronto as a youth. In Toronto he fulfilled his dream of becoming a musician and throughout his life, continued to make music with his lifelong friends. His passion for music lead to the search for the perfect sound system and this became his second mission in life. Andrew enjoyed the last years living in Little Harbour, Nova Scotia where he fulfilled his other dream which was to live in the woods along the coast. He shared these years with many new friends, two-legged and four. He was known to try to rescue a mangey porcupine, and to remove dead animals from the road to preserve their dignity. He was heartbroken when his dog, Daisy died. Andy brought his mother from Toronto to care for her in her final years. His daughter, Tessa and grandson, Azaiha, often came to visit in summers; he travelled back to Ontario to visit them and to reconnect with old friends. Andrew will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Tessa and grandson Azaiha, as well as many friends. Andrew also leaves his sister Mary and many nieces and nephews in Scotland. He was predeceased by his brother Billy, sister Betty and their mother Agnes. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A celebration of Andy’s life will be held next summer.
