Amelia’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one on Tuesday, May 12th, 2020 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay, Amelia Doris Andrews age 93 years of Wesleyville.
Predeceased by her parents Richard and Mary Ellen Easton, husband Rexton, and baby boy Ricky. Brothers Gordon Easton, Richard Easton, and sister Jean Street (John). Parents- in law Duncan and Martha Andrews, brother-in law David Andrews (Lillian), sisters-in law Vera Winsor (Jacob), Triffie Dunn, and Bernice Easton.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters Lynn of Labrador City and Christine (Dwayne) of Wesleyville. Brother Lloyd (Shirley) of Gander, sister Marie (Ray) of CBS, sister-in law Beverly Easton, grandchildren Julie (Jonathan) Grand Falls-Windsor, Marthea, and Tessa (Labrador City). Also, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends.
Amelia (Millie) was an amazing woman who touched many lives. From teacher to business woman to friend, she loved interacting with people and always had a smile for everyone. Her faith was such an important part of her life and her three loves were family, children, and music. Her strength and determination came through in her life experiences especially in her later years. She was well known for her advice and her inspirational sayings- One of her favourites was, “Life can be Beautiful.”
In lieu of flowers, donations in Amelia’s memory may be made to Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville. Due to the recent advisory regarding COVID-19, there will be no public visitation or funeral. A private burial service will take place at the United Church Cemetery, Wesleyville with Rev. Limon Daka officiating.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date when COVID – 19 restrictions have been lifted. We appreciate your support at this difficult time, the health and safety of family, general public and staff is very important.
