Aline Nordstrand nee Bruneau Oct.2 1938 Dec.30 2019

Aline was born in Saskatchewan. She was the 2nd youngest of 7 children. Her family moved to B.C. when she was a toddler. She grew up in Maillardville in a loving home going to school and attending Lourdes Church.
As a young woman she began working at Chadwick Potts as a secretary. It is there where she met the love of her life Earl. Earl was shy but he worked up the courage to ask her if she needed a ride home as she stood by the bus stop. She accepted and he said it was the best decision he has ever made in his life. On May 12,1962 they were married. Their love has stood the test of time and was evident every time they looked at each other.
They went on to have 3 children. Ray (Jan), Anita (George), Carmen, (Kevin). She took pride in staying at home to raise her children and spending time with them in the summer at the family cabin in Osoyoos B.C. She was a loving and caring mother always there to lend a hand and listen.
Later Aline worked for Earl in the family home as a secretary for his business. She spent her spare time volunteering for The Foyer Maillard care home, St. Vincent de Paul Society, The Red Cross Society and Fatima church. She also enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and square dancing. She had a love for making crafts over the years, some of these were paper tole, crocheting and making quilts. She also liked to play cards with her siblings. Aline enjoyed travelling with Earl over the years to Hawaii, Palm Springs, Mexico and Italy just to name a few. Also, a trip across Canada with some of her siblings and time spent in Arizona during the winter months where they owned a trailer. The family cabin always a favourite as her family would all be there with her.
Another love of Aline’s was children. She had 2 grandchildren named Craig and Leah who she loved spending time with. She took them on outings, baking, time at the cabin and sleepovers. Later, she was fortunate enough to have 2 more grandchildren, Lindsay and Courtney, who were brought into the family by her son-in-law George. Their warm and caring ways made Aline feel very special and she was happy to have them. More recently she was fortunate enough to have 4 great-grandchildren who made her light up every time they entered the room. She also has another great-grandchild due late next spring. Aline always had a way of making everyone around her feel special. She will forever be missed by those who knew her, but especially by her family.
