It is with great sadness the family of Alexander Walter Payne announces his sudden passing on Tuesday July 08, 2020 at the age of 62.
He is survived by his parents Calvin and Gladys Payne, his partner Imelda Lee, his bothers, Walter, John and Perry and sisters Emily, Susan, Margaret and Nancy; he is also survived by his 3 sons Joseph(Holly), Craig, Roger(Shawna) and his grandchildren Maxwell, Landon, McMcana and Ben.
Alexander or Sandy has he was know by his family, was a successful business man that started his career in marine electronics St. John’s, NL then moved to Nova Scotia to open his own business and raise his family and eventually move back to Newfoundland to retire. In addition to his business successes he was passionate about genealogy and spent 40 years researching and archiving the genealogy of families and communities of the West Coast: it was a labour of love for him.
Always remembered and forever loved. Until we meet again you will always be in our hearts.
