Dupuis, Alex Alphonse – It is with broken hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Mr Alex Dupuis of Haileybury at the age of 81 years. Mr Dupuis died on Friday December 11, 2020 at the Temiskaming Hospital. He was born at Bonfield, ON on September 28, 1939 to the late Elzear Dupuis and to the late Eva Boissonneault.
Mr Dupuis made a career of being a professional plasterer and painter. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity and for having the biggest heart anyone ever had. He would often help those less fortunate putting their needs way before his own. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His presence will be sorely missed by all those whose life he touched.
Mr Dupuis is survived by his two children Doris Dupuis and Ronald Dupuis. He is the cherished grandfather of Justin [Kellie] Lemyre, Michael [Melissa] Lemyre, Tiffany [Brad] Hummel; great-grandfather of Tucker, Tyler, Allison, Madisson, Clara and Nora. He is also survived by his sister Pauline Julien as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Mr Dupuis also leaves behind his very good friend Mirelda. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Ninette [nee Lallier] as well as by his siblings Rhéaume, Lucille, Albina, Helene and Patrick.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place at Lakeview crematorium, Haileybury. The family will receive family and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Thursday December 17, 2020 from 10:00am – 11:00am. A private memorial service will follow.
