Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bud (Arthur) Wright on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 83 years.
Bud was born on March 5, 1937 in Rosetown, SK to Hugh and Violet Wright. As a young man, Bud worked on a ranch in Alberta for two and a half years before returning to his home province. On November 6, 1959, he married Thelma (née Thomas), his wife of sixty-one years in Biggar, SK and together they raised their two sons, Terry and Darren.
Bud worked at the Rosetown Co-op for over two decades, but his true passion in life was farming, he spent many harvests working for friends Don Ross, Larry Burechailo and Bill Imlach. Bud loved horses, was well-known for his prolific love of apple pies and, most of all, his annual Christmas displays he built with Thelma that brought joy to the town of Rosetown for over thirty holiday seasons.
Bud will be dearly missed by his wife Thelma, his sons Terry (Roxanne) and Darren (Laura), his five grandchildren Rychele, Braeden, Crystal, Kayla and Bailey (Greg) and great-grandson Bennett as well as his four siblings Don, Stu, Vina and Vera.
The family would like to thank very much the wonderful and caring Rosetown Home Care and Palliative staff that supported them while attending to Bud through this difficult time.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Bud with a donation may do so to the Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers (SFPO), P.O. Box 26116, Regina, SK, S4R 8R7 or the Rosetown Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66, P.O. Box 1083 Rosetown, SK, S0L 2V0, organizations to which Bud was a long-time donor.
