In deep sadness, the family
of Agnes Daisy Higdon (nee Pritchard) announces her peaceful passing
at Lion’s Manor Nursing Home, Placentia, on October 21, 2020
at the age of 93 years old.
Daisy is the last of her
siblings, children of Llewellyn and Elizabeth (Sheppard)
Pritchard. Predeceased by her husband, Roy W. Higdon, her
daughter Laura Power, her parents and siblings Leo (Winnie)
Pritchard, Sarah Pritchard, Grace (Gerald) Peddle, Shirley (James)
Parsons and Mary (Clayton) Ford.
Daisy was known as a
beautiful, kind and generous lady, leaving to morning her children
Terry (Linda), Tyrone (Juanita) and Lisa (Ken) Edgerton. Her
precious grandchildren Raquel (Rob) Higdon, Donnie (Sherry) Sparrow,
Terry (Angie) Higdon, Wesley (Meagan) Higdon, Matthew (Kerrilyn) Power
and Kenneth Edgerton. Great grandchildren Alyshah (Chad)
Clarke, Brady, Chelsey, Dawson, Christian, Erica, Kaelan, DJ, Kalie,
Riley and her precious great, great grandchild
Reya.
Daisy showed that she had a
strong heart especially in her last days. Not only a strong heart but
a giving one. She always offered something to you before you
walked out the door. Daisy was highly skilled with knitting
needles, keeping an immaculate house and was an excellent cook
especially with the homemake bread and she could even play a tune on
the old accordion.
Thank you to the staff of the Placentia
Lion’s Manor where she spent the last three
years.
Funeral arrangements are
entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia.
Visitationto take place on Saturday from 2pm
to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm.
Due to the ongoing
COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, visitation is permitted with
restrictions. The maximum number of
people permitted in the funeral home at one time is 20
people. All visitors must sign in and
sign out for contact tracing purposes, and masks must be worn at all
times. Hand sanitizer will be provided and is to be used
upon entering and exiting the building. Please visit

Funeral Service to take place
at Maher’s Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25th at 2:00pm.
Interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Anglican Cemetery, New
Harbour.
