Robert David Walsh, « Dave » – unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2020 in his 77th year. David, from Keewatin, Ontario, spent most of his adult life living in Bruce County where he worked in a number of roles at, or relating to the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station. Dave enjoyed spending free time with family and friends and working around the family home in Bruce Township. Throughout his life, Dave kept very active enjoying many outdoor activities beginning with reforesting his property. Many old friends will remember him cycling into work in rain, hail, sleet or snow for many years. Loved camping throughout Canada & USA, enjoyed travel abroad and lately, hiking the Bruce Trail was his favourite pastime and walking any time along with other hobbies.
David is survived by his loving wife Audrey of 45 years , and was proud of his loving Son Christopher (Carolyn). David’s brother Philip (Edna) in Keewatin, pre-deceased by his sister Irene in Winnipeg and leaves behind nieces and nephew. Brother-in-law to John (Audrey), Amy (Alan), Anne (Dave), Andrew, and the late Jimmy – and nieces and nephews in England.
In light of the COVID 19 situation, there will not be a Celebration of Life at this time. Cremation has taken place with family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers and if so desired, a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Bruce Trail Conservancy (brucetrail.org/donations/memorials) would be much appreciated.
