Obituary of Paul « Barney » Robins
At the age of 85, Barney passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on April 15, 2020, after a brave battle with cancer.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Pat of almost 65 years, son Randy, daughters Lori (Gary) Morrison, Sue (Ted) Brainard and Paula (Brad) Schlorff. Also missed by his grandchildren Katie Morrison (Andrew Wiesel), Kimberley Woeldike (Andrew), Jenny MacLean (Tyler), Brooke Beirnes (Kevin), Josh Schlorff (Christina), Cara Thompson (Ryan), and his great-grandchildren Hannah, Brooklyn and Tristan Woeldike, Madysen and Sadie MacLean, Hunter and Liam Beirnes, Taylor Wiesel and Jacob Schlorff. Survived by his sister Muriel Danard (Avery), brothers Mart Robins (Norah), Bob Robins (Maureen Keating), sisters-in-law Maudie Douglas (Ken), Phyllis Cochrane, and by his brother-in-law Bill Baker. Barney also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lewis and Mildred “Pat” Robins.
Barney enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cottage on Manitoulin Island. Barney’s church was the great outdoors. There will be no service at this time.
