Herbert Harry Taber
1947-2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Herbert Harry Taber, 72,
of Sackville, at the Drew Nursing Home on Friday, March 20,
2020. Born in Sackville, Herbert was a son of the late Frank
Emery and Norma Eileen (Kay) Taber.
Herb was an active member of Salem
Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Buckskinners
Muzzleloading Association. A passionate outdoors man he had
a particular interest in hunting. He loved people and was
very good at making them laugh.
Herb will be sadly missed by his wife of
25 years, Lois (Wheaton), of Sackville; daughter Tabatha (Gary)
Newman, Barrie, ON; 2 grandchildren; a sister in law Marilyn Taber; as
well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his only brother
Roy in 2019.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300).
In keeping with Provincial restrictions,
a by-invitation, family only service will be held at the Salem Baptist
Church on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2 pm. Pastor Paul Bedford
Presiding.
The service will be live
streamed and available during and after the service by visiting her
obituary on the Jones Funeral Home
website.
Donations in memory of Herb may be made
to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Mental Health, or a
charity of the Donor’s Choice. Donations may be placed
