She was a very hardworking woman, raising 7 children with their own business back in the Philippines where she came from. In 1982, together with her husband and two youngest daughters, they immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada and continue to work here helping in managing her oldest daughter’s Tena’s Grocery in Burrows Ave. and Garven Convenience in Springfield Municipality. She loved going on family long trips and outings particularly in Pinawa. Having numerous travels all over North America and Asia, she is fondly remembered for all the sweet times and love shared while caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her presence in the functions of the Bicol Association of Manitoba and the devotions of Our Lady of Penafrancia will be greatly missed. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was very religious, prayerful and a faithful devotee to our Blessed Mother. A true woman of God, the family’s prayer warrior, she loved to pray the rosary daily and do Novenas. Even in her last few days her good eyesight allowed her to read her novenas and watch the daily mass at EWTN. With her gentle and generous heart, she touched many relatives and friends near and far.
We wish to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital where she was confined from March to June 2019 and the staff of HSC emergency where she stayed for a day until passing. Her numerous home care workers who tended to her care daily deserves a special thank you as well.
