Barbara Tweedie
1933-2020
KOUCHIBOUGUAC, NB – It is with great sadness that
the family of Barbara Tweedie 86, announce her passing at the
Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Born in
Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Firth Carter and Edith
Carter.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her daughter, Darlene
Kingston (Blair); her son, Dean Tweedie; five grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Noreen Gardiner
(Joseph), Marie Colpitts (late Irving), Edna Flanagan (late Lloyd),
Alice Connors; three brothers, Charlie Carter (Thelma), Edward Carter
(Joan), Winston Carter; sister-in-law, Lorna Carter and many nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
James Tweedie; one sister, Marion and one brother,
Kenneth.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Friday from 2:00 pm until time of the
funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 20,
2020 at 4:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto
and will be officiated by the Reverend Cecil Symes.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home in
Richibucto (523-4252).
