Chisholm, Mary « Diane », age
68 of Pomquet River, Antigonish County passed away on Monday, February
24, 2020 at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish
surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 19, 1951 in St.
Martha’s Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Elmer
and Theresa (Bowie) MacMillan.
Diane was employed by Bergengren
Credit Union until her retirement in 2012. She enjoyed spending time
with her grandchildren; MacMillan family dinners; girl’s
weekends to the casino; and trips to B.C. to spend time with her
extended family.
She is survived by her children: Shane
(Tammy), Pomquet River; Keith (Katrina), Langley, B.C.; grandchildren:
Dylan, Logan, Shaelynn, Anthony Alicia, Angus and Ashton; brothers,
Jimmy, Ontario; Geordie, Heatherton; Frankie and Donnie, Lower South
River; Allie (Judy), Truro; Wayne (Jackie), Heatherton; Gary (Brenda
Lee), Pinevale; sisters: Peggy (John Angus) MacDonald, Lower South
River; Lorraine (John) Rogers, Heatherton.
She was predeceased by her husband
Angus; brothers Bernie and Johnie, father and mother in law, Archie
Dan and Helen; sister in law, Betty Serafin.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry
Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Thursday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrews Church, St.
Andrews on Friday at 11:00am with Reverend Andrew Gillies presiding.
Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
