Obituary for Thomas Traichevich
With Saddened hearts, Thomas Traichevich, 83, of Petrolia, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Tom was born in St. Thomas Ontario on December 29, 1936 to immigrant parents, Sofia and Metodia “Mike” from Macedonia. Employment with MIG engineering brought Tom and Pat (nee Ptolemy) to Petrolia to raise their family. He was the loving father and grandpa Tom to Darren (Bernice) Traichevich and their children Kyla and Mitchell, and Molley (Tim) Hendra and their children Joey, Emma and Blake. Tom found many lasting friendships through his love of golf, his participation with the Petrolia Old timers Hockey team and the Squire Two Pitch Ball team. His challenges did not deter him from social affairs, grandchildren’s hockey games or trips uptown to observe the reconstruction of Petrolia Line. He was the loved brother to the late Steve (the late Ethel) Traichevich of St. Thomas, the late Mitch (Gloria) Traichevich of St. Thomas, and Angie (Bob) Millar of Windsor. He was the favourite brother-in-law to Ross (Connie) Ptolemy and was an adored uncle to many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are all welcome to a casual gathering celebrating the life of Tom, taking place at the Petrolia Legion, from 3-6p.m. on Thursday February 27, 2020.
