Obituary
It is with Great Sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Manfred Meyer of Edmonton, AB at the age of 85 years. Manfred (Fred) will be lovingly remembered by his Children; Peter Meyer of Edmonton, AB; Brenda (David Ross) of Spruce Grove, AB; Susanne Meyer of Alberta Beach, AB Grandchildren; Nicole (Greg) , Susan (Kent) ; Danny (Jeff); Lindy (Chris); Ryan (Michelle), Steven (Dayle) , Kyle (Sarah); and 8 Great Grandchildren Julia, Eli, Tyler, Rhys, Janie, Sylvie Charlotte and Harleigh ; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Manfred was predeceased by his cherished wife, Ruth Meyer (nee Schoenleber), son Kurt Meyer, Parents Kurt (Ida) Meyer. Manfred was born and raised in Bremen, Germany, he played soccer as well as was an avid Boxer and began his apprenticeship as a Painter/Decorator. Manfred left Germany at the age of 19 and arrived in Edmonton, AB , where he met and married his beloved wife Ruth, together they had 4 children, after Ruth’s passing Manfred moved to Jasper, where he enjoyed his life, work and many friends for 35 years. Fred will always be remembered for his Charismatic Nature. Dad: You gave no one a last farewell as you left to be in the Arms of Angels. A family memorial will be held.
