Obituary of George Chambers
Chambers, George Parsons – 87 of Brooklyn passed away Wednesday February 12th in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor surrounded by his loving family. Born October 29th, 1932 in Brooklyn he was the son of the late George and Evelyn (Sanford) Chambers.
George was a very hard worker always providing for his family. After retirement he did volunteer work at the Brooklyn United Church and Cemetery. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Molly (Harvie), children Chester (Wanda) of Brooklyn, Susan (Ken) of Three Mile Planes, Rose (Greg) of Brooklyn, Patsy of Dartmouth, Janet (Dan) of Perth Andover, brother Lester, sister in law Mary Harvey, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who brightened his day with each visit and many nieces and nephews.
George is predeceased by brothers Ted (Lovey), Don (Jean), Harley (Ruth), Arthur (Jean), Ronnie, Howard, Gordon (Ruby), sisters Gladys, Marg (Wilbert), Geraldine (Ronald), Joan, Edith (Medford).
Visitation will be held at 1pm Monday February 17th, followed by a service at 2pm both in the Brooklyn United Church, Rev Kevin Cox officiating. Reception to follow in the Church Hall and a private family committal service in Riverview Cemetery, Brooklyn. Donations in memory of George can be made to the Brooklyn United Church or charity of choice. Special thanks to the Hants Community Hospital and to the Palliative Care Unit.
