Obituary of Arthur ‘June’ O’Neill
Passed peacefully away after a long battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Monday, February 10, 2020, Arthur ‘June’ O’Neill of Harbour Grace, age 67 years.
Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Florence; parents-in-law: William and Mary Grace Murray; brother-in-law: Jay.
Leaving to mourn, wife: Elsie; one daughter: Melissa (Damian), St. John’s; one son: Shane, Harbour Grace; two grandchildren: Jack and Luna; two brothers: Denis (Frances), Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Brian (Anne), Harbour Grace; five sisters: Shirley (Joe) Forward, Ontario, Patricia (Allan) Greene, Placentia, Margaret (John) Glofcheski, Ontario, Geraldine (Dalibor) Dunatov, Ontario, and Sharon (Paddy) Bavis, Harbour Grace; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Phil (Jessie) Murray, Carbonear, Sadie (Brian) Fowler, Makinsons, Debbie (Carl Clarke), Carbonear and Shawn (Debbie) Murray, Alberta; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3V6.
