May 11, 1941 – February 2, 2020
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Edward Zaharko of Thorhild, AB at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Rose; their children, Myrna (Blaine), Cliff (Bonnie) and Curtis (Pam); grandchildren Justin (Janelle), Amy (Bryan) and Jenna; great grandchildren Kayden & Nina; his siblings, Liz (Paul) Syvenky, Eileen (Ken) Hurshoway, Peter (Shirley) Zaharko, Jean (Jim) Shamchuk, Shirley (Ben) Bykowski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John & Molly Zaharko. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Thorhild, AB with Father Slavko Dumec officiating with interment in the Tudor Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their most heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Redwater Healthcare Centre for the care and compassion given to Ed during his final days.
