1938-2020
Passed peacefully away at the Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre, Old
Perlican on Monday, February 3, 2020, Edmund James Rice of Red Head
Cove, aged 81 years.
Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Charlotte Rice; grandson, Kyle
Snelgrove; sister, Mary McCarthy; nephews, Thomas McCarthy and Gary
Rice; and niece, Karen Rice.
Leaving to mourn son, Mark (Carolyn) Rice; daughters, Cynthia (Paul)
Snelgrove and Jennifer (Steve) Brown;
grandchildren: Sydney, Victoria, Mackenzie, Taylor, Tara, Cameron and
Addison; great grandson, Brady;
brothers: Bren (Margaret), Joe (Margaret) and Bob (Marie); sister,
Helen (Billy, predeceased);
nieces, nephews and a circle of extended family and friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of the Wilkinson
Memorial Health Centre, Old Perlican and to the staff and residents of
Baccalieu Retirement Living, Old Perlican.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Hopkins’ Funeral Home, Old Perlican on Wednesday,
February 5, 2020 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm.
A funeral service to celebrate Edmund’s life will be held on Thursday,
February 6, 2020 at 11:00 am. at the Assumption Parish Roman Catholic
Church, Bay de Verde.
Interment to follow at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy donations may be made, in Edmund’s
memory, to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
