Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Nelson Paul Walsh, loving husband of Theresa Walsh announces his passing which occurred on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on May 14, 1951 he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Doucet) Walsh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant brother John and brother Joseph.
In addition to his loving and devoted wife Theresa of 48 years, he is survived by his daughters Michelle Walsh (Mike) and Jennifer Walsh; cherished grandchildren Alex, Abby and Tyler; siblings Rick Walsh (Carol), Cathy Lifford, Danny Walsh (Kerry), Donna Rose (George), Lisa Walsh (Robin Trim) and Gail Clouston; sister-in-law Helen Walsh; several nieces and nephews.
Nelson worked for John Flood and Sons for over 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting with his brother-in-law Tony, life long friend Brian Doiron and grandson Alex. He had a passion for fishing, building and restoring boats and the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors over the last several years including the staff at Turnbull Nursing Home, the Oncology Department and Palliative Care.
His funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10 am.
