PRINCE, Queenie Florence (Hobbs) 1925 – 2020
Passed peacefully away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista on Sunday, December 13, 2020 with her family by her side, Queenie Prince of Princeton, aged 95 years. Predeceased by her husband John; parents Abram and Catherine Hobbs; brother Abram Hobbs and sister-in-law Meta; son-in-law Donald Fry and dear lifelong friend Jennie Hobbs.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories and thankfulness for her long life are her daughters Linda Fry and Marjorie Yetman (Harold); sons John (Charlene), Robert (Mary) and Floyd (Lorraine); grandchildren Sandra Ford, Jeff Fry (Tracy), Trevor Yetman (Ashlea), Matthew Prince (Brooke), Adam Prince (Kari), Ryan Prince (Jenn), Olivia Prince (Dan), Rhiannon Prince, Daniel Prince (Chloe) and Hayley Prince; great grandchildren Rebecca Ford (Jordan), Carly Fry, Cameron Yetman, Caden Yetman, Benson Prince and Archie Prince.
Queenie lived in Keels before moving to Princeton. She served the public well as postmistress for more than thirty years. She was a lifelong dedicated member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church and the Anglican Church Women’s Association. Most of all she was loving and devoted to her family and a great friend to many. Her faith in God was strong. She is now at peace.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, Charleston, with interment to follow at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery in Princeton.
