age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5th in Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born June 1st, 1928 in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia he was a son of the late John Dennis and Rosie Esther (Muise) Pothier. Always active, Lawrence loved Nova Scotia, seafood and cars — and continued to drive until the last month of his life. He loved his family and cared deeply about the well-being of others, and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the merchant marines. Lawrence was a proud and loving father — and was beloved by his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent countless hours in the backyard feeding birds and chasing away critters. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Nora (Harrington) Pothier, as well as their children, Susan (John) Wells and Glenn (Patricia) Pothier and grandchildren: Zachary and Jenna. Lawrence was predeceased by his siblings: Ethel, Gerald, Leo, Lellis, Norbert, Raymond, Catherine, and a sister Norma in infancy.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service and burial will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Cross or a charity of your choice.
