Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday December 4th, 2020 in her 81st year. Nancy Whittaker of Orillia, predeceased by beloved husband John (Jack) Ernest Whittaker of 56 years. Much loved mother of Scott and his wife Karen of Orillia, Don and his wife Thea of Huntsville, and Tom and his wife Mary of Barrie. Proud grandfather of Faith Visentin (Dave) of Washago, Russell (Jessie) of Severn Bridge, Angela Whittaker of Orillia, Calvin (Emma) of Coldwater, Emily of Chicago, and Graham of Barrie. Loving Great grandmother of Ryker and Sawyer Whittaker, Everett and Gabriel Visentin, and Cameron and Davey Whittaker. Predeceased by her brother Ross Young (Marlene). Nancy will be missed by her lifelong friends, neighbours, St. David’s Church and Edgar A.O.C. families, “Porkarama” club, and Butterfly Lake friends. She will also be missed dearly by her little fluffy companion, “The Foxy Lady”. Relatives and friends will be received at Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Tuesday December 8, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance is limited to a specific number of persons within the facility at any one time. Please call the funeral home to reserve a time slot for your visitation with the family. You are instructed to arrive just a few minutes prior to your desired time. Staff will advise when space permits within the funeral home. The visitation time is allocated to 10 minutes. Please be aware that others will have scheduled their time with the family. Masks are mandatory inside the funeral home and social distancing is practiced. Gathering outside of the facility is not permitted.
