It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Derrick Paul Wilkinson, aged 55 years, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.
Predeceased by his father Douglas Wilkinson (March 27, 2000); grandparents: Evelyn and Spencer Spurrell, Bridget and Gordon Wilkinson, and his best buddy, Rodney Hawco.
Leaving to mourn his precious son Kyle and his mother Floss Nelder; mother Ruby Wilkinson; brother Glen Wilkinson (Cathy); sisters: Sharon Kelly (Jerry – deceased); Lisa Pittman (Jim) and Lesley Gosse (Sam); nieces and nephews: Emily and Devin Kelly, Andrew and Olivia Pittman, Ava and Amelia Gosse; uncle Nat (Ruth) Spurrell; aunts: Gloria Spurrell, Nina Donovan (Mike – deceased), Rita Wilkinson (Charlie – deceased), Madonna Wilkinson (George – deceased); close friend Nelson Hawco and his family, extended family, friends and colleagues from the electrical community especially those at Newfoundland Electrical.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay, on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Cremation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 1 p.m. from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Flatrock. For those wishing to attend virtually, the service will be live streamed through the Facebook Page: Holy Trinity, St. Agnes’ & St. Michael’s Parishes. Inurnment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Flatrock.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Flatrock, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
