Obituary for Graham Trone
Graham Robert Leslie Trone died peacefully on November 26, 2020 at CEE Hospital, Petrolia at the age of 69. He will be lovingly remembered by Gwen (Goodrow), daughters Megan and Carla (Chris McNaughton). He was a very special Grandad to Holden. As a member of the “Goodrow Outlaws”, Graham is also survived by his six siblings-in-law, their spouses and children. He was predeceased by his parents Ken Trone of Toronto and Jean (Hodges) Watson of Hamilton. His uncle Ron Trone of West Virginia also survives him. Graham was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1959, growing up in Hamilton. During his 44 years with Corrosion Service, he worked in Sarnia, Montreal, and Calgary.
He coached his daughters’ soccer teams in Petrolia and served on the Petrolia Soccer Club executive for 11 years. There wasn’t a renovation job he couldn’t tackle, especially the renovation and addition to a century home and friends’ projects over the years. His love of Pink Floyd was legendary and he was thrilled to have seen them in concert whenever they came to North America. His dry sense of humour will be missed by all.
A memorial party will be held in Graham’s honour when we can get together next year. Graham’s wish was for no funeral flowers, but memorial donations may be made to Petrolia Soccer Club or CEE Hospital Foundation (ceehf.ca).
We love you and will miss you, you have become comfortably numb.
