Obituary of Eva Mae Hunter
HUNTER – Eva Mae (nee Irish)
We are grateful for the life of our mother, however with profound sadness we announce the passing of Eva Mae Hunter (Irish) on Monday November 16, 2020 at the Brantford General Hospital. Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband “Chic” (2002). Cherished mother of Heather Shisler (John) and Bonnie Whelan. Devoted grandmother of Mark (Becky) and Michael (Emily) Shisler and Taylor Petrie (Tyler) and Sydney Whelan (Brad). Beloved great grandmother of Oakley and Arbor Shisler and Harrison, Everly and Liam Petrie. Eva is survived by her friend and sister in law Marg Lovell and Tom and Mabel Hunter, also several adoring nieces and nephews. Eva was the last of the Irish family, predeceased by Florence, Elsie, Dorothy, Harry, Roy, Marg, Edna, Bill, twin brother Jim and Ken. Eva was a lifelong member of Knox – Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church. Mom lovingly cared for the home that Chic and her built in 1952. She was happiest when planning parties and family celebrations. She took great pride in her gardens. The family appreciate the care provided by Charlotte Villa and floors 6 and 7 at Brantford General Hospital. A private family memorial service to be held. Arrangements have been entrusted with the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, Brantford. In memory of Eva Hunter donations to Lansdowne Children’s Centre or the Oncology Department at the Brantford General Hospital would be appreciated. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.mccleisterfuneralhome.ca
