Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Rita A. (Scoville) Cosman, loving wife of Reginald ‘Reg’ Cosman of 44 years, after a long battled with Parkinsons Disease, went to sleep very peacefully, at her home on November 16, 2020. Born September 29, 1941 in Penobsquis, NB, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Marion (Dole) Scoville.
Rita leaves behind her loving husband Reg, her beautiful daughter Kim (Fred) Steeves, granddaughter Satara Kelly (Chris Queen), great-grandson Ryver Dunhun and great-granddaughters Bella and Sierra Kelly, granddaughter Lorrin Martin (Robin) Anderson, great-grandsons Declan and Parker, granddaughter Reegan Anderson, step-grandchildren; Candice and Joel Steeves, granddaughter Amanada (Whipple) Ryan Cormier, great-grandsons Avery and Ellis, step-son Rick (Cheryl) Cosman, their children Dustin and Brent (Katilyn) Cosman, great grandson Landen, great-granddaughters Tenley, Lacey, Jacey, as well as Alex, the daughter of the late Karac Cosman and sister-in-law Eileen Cosman.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her son Kevin Gregg, her three sisters; Helen (Bill Fillmore), Thelma Zwicker and Doris Marr, step-son Ronnie Cosman, her wonderful in-laws Arthur and Helen Cosman and sister-in-law Elva Hutchins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at later date at Union Cemetery, Head of Millstream. Donations in her memory may be made to the Saint John SPCA or Union Cemetery, Head of Millstream.

Fred I don’t know what I would have done without you. You are one in a Million. I love you very much.
Rick I want to thank you for always calling your Father every Sunday and checking up on us. For that I love you so much.
My most wonderful caregiver in the world, Joan Saunders. I don’t know what I would do without your Big Hugs and kisses every time you would go home. You always would say “Love you a bushel and a Pic.” You are truly one of the best persons in this whole wide world. I will love you always.
To my Guardian Angels Ruth Atwell and Donnie McLean, I didn’t know that suchj nice people still lived. You two are the sweetest people in the world. The telephone calls, the visits, but mostly the food that you brought to me. All those Cheese and Tea Biscuits and soups. I could go on and on about all the many different kinds of food, all homemade. I love you guys so much that words can never say how much that tou have helped Reg out. By doing all that you did I will always love you for this.
Diane Campbell, Sherry Lambert and Gail Daigle thank you for the laughter that we shared while drinking our Tims coffee at the mall. I will love you forever for being there for me.
RITA’S WORDS
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young and old alike, and today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved ones. Why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes you’ll surely regret today. That you didn’t take that extra time for a smile, a hug or a kiss. And you were to busy to greet someone that turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ear. Tell them how much you love them and that you’ll always hold them dear. Take time to say “I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank-you, or it’s okay.” And if tomorrow never comes you’ll have no regrets today.
