Alex Arsenault
1953-2020
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with heavy
hearts that the family announces the passing of
Alex Arsenault 67, at the Dr. George-L. Dumont University Hospital
Center in Moncton on Tuesday, November 6, 2020. Born in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent, he was the son of late Joseph Arsenault and late
Marie-Luce (Vautour)
Arsenault.
He is survived by his long time partner, Corinne Gaudet of
St. Louis; his son Stephan Arsenault (Candice) of Fredericton and his
grandson, Joseph whom he loved. He also leaves to mourn, his
sister, Margo (Evariste) Dionne of Dieppe; Corinne’s children,
Chantel, Remi and Jean-Yves and extended family, Adelard Vautour,
Josephat, Ginette Richard and Therese LeBlanc and
Paulette, mother to his son and many nieces and
nephews.
Alex worked at Mactaquac Provincial Park for 18 years and
finished his working career at Richard Irving in St.
Louis.
Alex’s special joy was spending time with
family. He would take every opportunity to visit with
Stephan and was always looking forward to family gatherings at Margo
and Evariste’s either at the cottage or at their
home.
He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the St. Ignace Golf
Club. Some of his hobbies were playing cards (card shark!),
biking, snowshoeing, hiking at Kouchibouguac Park, and also going to
Geary Speedway with his son. He also enjoyed
travelling. Oh the places he’s been! Alex
also had a very kind heart and he would help anyone in
need.
A private family celebration will be held at Thompson
Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. In lieu of flowers,
donations in Alex’s memory may be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would also like to send a special « Thank
You » to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dumont Hospital
Palliative Care Unit. Arrangements are in care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto (523-4252).
