“AS A MAN THINKETH, SO IS HE”
It is with deep sadness that the Family of Gene P. Gibeau “Gebo” announce his passing on the afternoon of September 29, 2020. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who based his life on the foundation of God and Family.
Thru his positive attitude, innovative thinking, and musical talents, Gene has touched many lives over the years. He was raised on their family farm outside of Morinville, Alberta and at age 19, became self-employed with his own gravel truck and caterpillar loader. His entrepreneurial skills lead him to other business ventures and sales positions, where he ultimately became a successful Life Insurance Advisor for over 4 decades. In his later years, Gene turned his love for Country Music into another career which allowed opportunity for fun and travel while performing on stage in the United States and Canada. His was a life well lived and he leaves our world a better, brighter place.
Left to cherish Gene’s memory are: his wife of 58 years, Blanche; children: Natalie, Jason, and Clayton, daughter-in-law Sharlene; grandchildren, Aaron and Jared; brother, Joseph; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gene was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Julma; siblings: Rita Prefontaine, Olive Vest, Romeo, Maurice, Fern, and Estelle.
