It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Linda,
born January 31st 1943 at Saugeen First Nation.
She passed away peacefully, with 2 of her daughters by her side, at
Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Wednesday, January
15th 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
Beloved wife of James William Thomas. Loving mother of Lori, Doryanne,
Anthony and Georgina Thomas. Cherished grandmother of Nancy Swires,
Domonique Thomas, Nathanial Thomas, Sasha Godin, Amanda Godin, Joseph
Godin and Tyson Dionne. Great grandmother of Naomi Planta, Chloe
Planta, Izabell Planta, Ryker Planta and McCoy Planta. Dear
sister of Lloyd Bestio and Alex Bestio. Linda will be fondly
remembered by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by
parents Ambrose Besito and Stella Thompson, brothers; Andrew, Albert
and Joseph Bestio, 5 grandchildren and 1 nephew. Family and
friends are invited to attend GILCHRIST CHAPEL
– McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street,
Guelph for a memorial visitation on
Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 1 – 2 p.m. Memorial service
at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with a family hosted reception
to follow in the Trillium Room of the funeral home. If
desired, memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Canada or
Hospice Wellington in Linda’s memory. We invite
