Obituary of Linda Keeling
Peacefully with the love of her family by her side, at Owen Sound Hospital, on Friday morning, September 11th, 2020. Linda Verda Keeling (nee Elliott), of Bognor, at the age of 73 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Tim Keeling. Beloved daughter of the late Howard and Verda Elliott. Daughter-in-law of Lois Keeling and the late J.H. Keeling. Dear sister of Lois Miehm (Peter), Bob Elliott (Karen) and Sharon Hargest (Kelly). Sister-in-law of Jane Keeling-Ribbel (Rick), Peggy Keeling, Judy Keeling-Bridge (Cecil) and Dan Keeling (Marlene). Linda will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her two feline buddies, Bailey and Cheeto.
The family would like to extend thanks to the doctors and nurses of Owen Sound Hospital and her compassionate nurses and parameds for her care. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492). A private memorial service for Linda will be held Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 at Central Westside United Church, 310 – 10th Street West, Owen Sound with Rev. Nicholas Forrester officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to watch the service at 11:00 a.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). The family would appreciate donations to the Grey-Bruce Animal Shelter (where Linda worked as a volunteer), the Hospital for Sick Children, the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy.
