Richard Dean Anthony, age 62, passed away on August 19, 2020. Beloved husband of Tracy Anthony, cherished dad of Joelle (Deric) Ewen, Ryan Anthony (Paris), adored Papa of Ryder Ewen. Lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Kim (Pat) Dool, nephew Kyle Dool (Erica), niece Amanda Dool (Brendan), great-niece Alexis and great-nephew Benjamin McDonald. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Shirley Anthony. Will be sadly missed by his gentle giant and companion, Zelda.
Rick was born in Saskatoon on November 24, 1957 and moved to Kenora, Ontario in his early teens. He worked as an automotive mechanic and met the love of his life, Tracy, and married on July 30, 1983. From then on, life was a whirlwind of adventure. Rick enjoyed golfing, curling, bowling, fishing, hunting and camping, surrounded by friends and family.
He and his family relocated to Thunder Bay in 2005. In recent years, one of his favourite things to do was spend time at the trailer on the beautiful shores of Shebandowan Lake, playing with his grandson, quadding, competing in the bocce ball championship and smoking ribs.
Much time was spent cooking delicious meals, tending to his online farm and doting on his children, son-in-law and grandson, who meant the world to him.
Your presence we miss
Your memory we treasure

Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre ICU and St. Joseph’s Care Group hospice. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
