Carol-Ann Kelly Drombolis, born October 8, 1947 in Fort William, Ontario passed away peacefully on July 18, 2020 in Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 72.
She is survived by her sister, Marina (Garry) Elder, her nephew Dayle (Victoria), her niece Leia and her very cherished great-nephews Nick and Henry.
She is predeceased by her parents Marino (1980) & Christine A. (2019) Drombolis, her sister Christine G. (2015) and her nephew Joe (2008).
After graduating from York University she completed her OEC and commenced her 30+ year teaching career in 1969 through the secondary school system in Grimsby, then Beamsville before retiring. Kelly was a very social and loving individual who spread kindness to everyone she met. She was the keeper of memories for family and friends and had the ability to recall any significant dates, anniversaries and birthdays for all. She even maintained a list of birthdays for what she termed ‘Kelly’s Kids’, who would always receive a card or call for their birthday as they were all considered nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending Red Hat events, scrapbooking get-togethers, and book club meetings where she is remembered as a kind and giving individual. She was an avid fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kelly found enrichment in her travels to Australia, Paris, and Ireland, just to name a few, but truly enjoyed the togetherness of family vacations to Elliot Lake in recent years. She was a true friend to all, and she will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Kelly was strong in her faith and has now found solace safe in the arms of the angels.
